Floyd died after a police offer in Minneapolis knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes. The protests that started in Minneapolis, quickly spread across the U.S. and the world, with demands for justice, equality and change. While Floyd's death sparked these latest protests, some were protesting on behalf of those killed by police brutality and racism in their own countries.
