The Pont du Gard has been a tourist attraction for centuries. It’s construction has historically been credited to Augustus’ son-in-law and aide, Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, around the year 19 BC. As they say back home in Rhode Island, “that’s a wicked long time ago.”
Over a million people visit this spot each year. Linda and I had a refreshing swim before walking over the bridge. Spectacular!
